Dan began interpreting on stage in 1986. His more than twenty-five years experience shadow interpreting on stage spans over 100 theatre productions. He has toured nationally with a comedian, and occasionally acts without interpreting. Dan has enjoyed a varied career in the nonprofit sector, including positions at Deaf CAN!, the United Way for Southeastern Michigan, and City Connect Detroit.
A graduate of the Sign Language Studies program at Madonna University, Dan is a nationally certified interpreter (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf – CSC) with a broad range of off-stage interpreting experience. Dan recently returned to Madonna University as the chairperson of the Sign Language Studies department. His is the author of all content on Terptheatre.com, and he designs and maintains the technical aspects of the website, its companion blog at terptheatre.com/ttblog and for the production website for Police Deaf Near Far.
