THE TWO GENTLEMEN Interpreting: |
Don't Miss This Unique Opportunity! TerpTheatre is excited to collaborate with Water Works Theatre on its tenth production of Shakespeare In The Park in Royal Oak. All performances are performend outside at Starr Jaycee Park, in Royal Oak. There are a variety of seating options - from bleachers (provided on a first-come basis) to blankets and chairs that you can brinig yourself. Water Works Theatre is well-known for adapting Shakespeare to modern times. This production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona is no exception. This comedy will take places in the late 1960's - early 1970's. Think, 'Shakespeare meets Animal House'. Terptheatre will interpret the language of Shakespeare in a natural, current-day ASL - while still playing with language in the way that Shakespeare does. Two performances will be shadow-interpreted. While Deaf audience members can 'sit anywhere' for shadowed shows, it is a good idea to ARRIVE EARLY for this performance, in able to sit close enough to see the interpreters. Some bleachres are available, but bring a blanket or chairs to sit a bit closer. (The front row is not the best place. Choose at least five rows back.) Tickets are valid for ANY performance, and seats are on a first-come basis. Buy tickets online HERE. At just $18 per ticket, Shakespeare In The Park in Royal Oak is a great way to enjoy theatre! |
