[ Meet Dan McDougall ]

Shelly had her first taste of theatrical interpreting in 1996 when she shadowed her first play, Alice In Wonderland.  From that play forward, she was hooked.  Since then, she has performed as a theatrical interpreter in over 75 productions at various theatres in the Detroit area.  In addition, her public platform interpreting work includes the Michigan Renaissance Festival and traveling with the auto show circuit for Jeep-Chrysler [ 1995-1996 ] and Pontiac/GMC Trucks [ 1996-2000 ].

Shelly has her BA in Sign Language Studies from Madonna University and is currently working as a contract interpreter throughout the Detroit area.  In addition to her specialization in theatrical interpreting, she also specializes in Deaf-Blind interpreting and teaches classes and workshops at the university level in both specialties.
