TerpTheatre is a group of professional stage interpreters.  We specialize in ‘shadowing’ – moving on stage with actors, rather than being placed off to one side of the stage.  This is a dynamic and artistically rewarding way to make sure that everyone in the audience has a chance to enjoy the work of the actors on stage:  When interpreters are placed off to the side, many Deaf audience members are forced to focus on the interpreters, and miss the actors altogether.  With the interpreters close to the action, the performance is accessible to everyone in the same way.
